I am passionate about bridging the gap of design and build through sharing expertise, generating integrated processes, and utilizing technology to leverage better relationships and better projects. I have a Bachelors in Architecture but was hired by a General Contractor, Kitchell Contractors, to bring design thinking to our construction projects. While at Kitchell, I have worked on all sides of the industry: as a trade partner, manufacturer, designer, and general contractor utilizing BIM as one of the many tools to communicate complex problems and generate creative solutions. I helped found and develop one of Kitchell’s subsidiary companies, Kapture Prefab, with the goal of bringing manufacturing ideologies to the building industry in order to coordinate holistic design decisions and efficiencies into our projects. I have worked on several jobs integrated heavily with architects and trade partners on how to frontload design coordination through the lens of offsite construction and lean ideologies. I am currently working on a Progressive Design Build job with University of California San Diego as the BIM Manager with expertise in designing for offsite construction.
