Ir. Collins is a BIM and Digital Engineering specialist. As Head of Project Information Management for Gamuda, he supports the design, commercial and construction teams with the implementation of digital engineering including BIM, information management with a common data environment (CDE) to ISO-19650, laser scanning, photogrammetry, drones, site data collection, GIS and other digital innovations for major infrastructure projects. Ir. Collins joined the Gamuda Engineering team for the KVMRT SSP Line 2 Project in 2016 as BIM Manager and is currently working on projects in Malaysia, Singapore and Australia.
As a structural engineer, Ir. Collins, started using 3D analysis and detailing technology in 1999 at Arup in Ireland. After moving to Arup Hong Kong, in 2003 he started his own consultancy to provide BIM consulting services to major projects. He’s worked as BIM Manager on Hong Kong international airport, Doha International Airport, numerous MTR Hong Kong projects and the Kowloon High Speed Rail terminus. He is recognized as an industry leader for the adoption of digital engineering for design coordination and construction planning for infrastructure and commercial developments.
Ir. Collins has a 1st Class Honours Civil Engineering degree, is a Professional BIM Manager in Hong Kong, an accredited BCA BIM Manager in Singapore, a BRE Information Manager (UK), was previously a chartered member of IStructE and Hong Kong Institute of Engineers.
